Job vacancy - Part Time Street Works Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a Part Time Street works Co-Ordinator to join the team, working with our Site Teams, monitoring and co-ordinating our permit requests and ensuring permit deadlines are met so that we avoid any penalty notices.

Job location: Foundation House in Hedge End Southampton - although during lockdown remote working will be considered

The role will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Streetworks Supervisor, the role holder will:

  • Act as first point of contact for NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act) enquiries.
  • Work on multiple projects at any one time, allocating permits and notices to scheduled works
  • Raise and maintain relevant permits on Symology, ensuring all applications comply with New Roads & Street Works Act
  • Monitoring and updating the work status and ensuring amendments are put in place so the correct noticing applies to the job
  • Liaise with the relevant teams and project managers to understand any issues and work with them to resolve.
  • Ensuring all closing notices are applied and monitor evidencing of site clearing and closure
  • Whilst we would look to avoid any defects, should any be noted, ensure these are rectified and closed out to avoid any fines
  • Provide support to the Supervisor and cover in their absence

Qualifications and experience:

What skills will you bring?

  • Ability to prioritise and good attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical information.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to work within a team and interface with people at all levels
  • A person who is driven to deliver, a ‘can do’ achiever who can take the initiative to see problem solve and escalate when necessary.
  • Able to work flexibly, whilst maintaining procedural requirements of the task
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and a CRM system, alongside an understanding of the utilities industry would be an advantage
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment

This role will be working 24 hours Monday to Friday and would suit someone who is looking for an interesting role that would fit within school hours.
