Connect IT Utility Services opens its doors to new head office

What better way to start the month than opening the doors to the new premises of Connect It Utility Services head office and distribution centre, located in Hedge End, Southampton.

The team welcome the move to the new site, as the business continues to grow from strength to strength. The new facility name ‘Foundation House’ was chosen by the team after running an internal naming competition. Paul Duke, M/U Water Projects Manager’s suggestion became the favourite, with the view that the company is growing and building a firm foundation for all families of the CIUS team, who will also be part of the journey.

The new building comprises 38,950 sq ft of space for the distribution centre, and ample room for head office to enable the office team to work under one roof, providing stores, transport, training facilities and office functions.

Peter Leech, Manager Director said: “ The new premises will allow us to increase our storage and production and will future proof for our predicted growth of the business”, as the company continues to make significant growth and takes on new projects and contracts.

“The ability to work closer as a team will create a stronger hub and improve efficiency, which will help to elevate our commitment of providing our clients with a high-quality service, delivering on our promises”

“The move is a positive investment and will allow for us to maintain our high standards of business operations, in order to meet the continued growth in demand from current and new customers across the Midlands, through the Central and South of England.”

Expanding the business will create more local job opportunities, the timing of which is ideal for many people who have found themselves without employment recently. Connect IT Utilities offers a range of exciting positions for candidates with experience in a single or multi-discipline environment and provide further training to help progress careers.

Like many businesses and services, Connect IT Utilities is adjusting to life in a pandemic.

Health and Safety Manager, Jane Leech said: “Everyone is working hard and ensuring that the correct procedures and protocols are in place to provide a safe working environment for our staff. The opportunity meant we have been able to utilise the office workspaces and communal areas to achieve social distancing and to bring our staff back to work safely and in accordance to Government regulations. Those working on site have been provided guidelines and advice on what measures to take to protect themselves and others on location.”
