Job vacancy - Salesforce Developer
Connect It are a growing multi utility company so to help support our success we are looking to expand our Software Development team by recruiting a Salesforce Developer. This role will support the business by working as part of a small, family friendly, development project team responsible for successful completion of development, deployment and maintenance of the assigned applications on the Salesforce Platform and assisting in implementing best practice.
Job location: Based in our office and warehouse complex in Hedge End, Southampton and reporting to the IT Transformation Manager.
The role will be responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with team members for analysing/estimation of efforts, review of code and work on different project artifacts.
- Understanding business requirements, development, reviewing code, writing unit test scenarios and fixing defects for in use modules/applications.
- Providing technical guidance and assisting the team with successful delivery of projects whilst keeping team motivation high.
- Leveraging a number of proprietary and standard tools and provide support in effort estimation on tasks.
- Developing and maintaining code for various Salesforce applications.
- Administering change requests, review code, unit-test and resolve any defects
- Supporting in developing technical documentation for the assigned project.
Qualifications and experience:
- Salesforce Certifications and/or proven track record in relation to development of Lightning Web Components, Apex, Javascript, (Platform Developer I/Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I), Salesforce Flows (Platform App Builder), and Salesforce Architect related.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Objects and Data Model.
- A good understanding of Software Development lifecycles, waterfall and agile project methodologies.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Standard Objects and Business Processes around them.
- Experience with custom integration, Salesforce Sites, API calls.
- Working experience in AppExchange App Development and Package Creation.
- Experience with SFDC governor limits, licensing and SFDC best practices.
- 10+ years industry experience.
- Degree preferred but relevant skills and experience will also be considered.
- A strong communicator with good organisational and written communication skills with the ability to interface with people at all levels.
- A positive ‘can do’ achiever who can take the initiative to see changes through to delivery.
- Problem solving skills and capacity to work independently as well as in team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (particularly outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge of Copado Robotic testing creation and maintenance, preferred, but not essential.
