We are now looking for a Utility Operations Programme Manager to have oversight of all our utility programmes and provide a full programme management planning service from initiation, design, resourcing (people/plant/materials) delivery and close out.
About the role
Working from our Marwell, Southampton office, you will report to the Operations Director and work with Developers and external technical teams and internal Project Management and Technical teams to manage the sequencing of all activities within project scopes. Realistically there are times when are programmes have to change and you will ensure any changes to the programme are captured effectively, ensuring a commercial view is always taken and stakeholders are communicated with. Using our newly developed in house software, you will provide project updates, adjustments and reporting as necessary. You will also provide planning and management support to areas of auditing, health and safety, vehicles, plant and equipment.
Ideally, you will have a degree (HNC or equivalent in Construction) and already be working in a similar programme management role (this is not an IT role). You will be able to demonstrate your experience of working within a utilities or construction environment, managing the steps involved in delivering a construction project from inception to completion, with good knowledge of CDM. You will have well developed organisational and communication skills and be able to influence and guide others. A excellent understanding of Microsoft office including project is key.
